| Milestone of 5000 clanwars reached! | Today we reached 5000 clanwars in a hegemonial inside-battle "CI5 Lapland" vs "CI5 World All-stars". The match was played 4vs4 as few didn't manage to show up.
The line-ups were:
Lapland-> Killeri, ej, eclipze, J-re
World all-stars-> Acihh, ewert, Tactics, Choq.
Match started with the legendary map, monastery, which was the homemap number 1 for the first 2000 cw's. CI5 Lapland were all over the place dominating the map and reaching 15-9 victory.
Second map was.. suprise, suprise.. FF. The map we have played as a homemap for the last years. World all-stars were the dominating team here having a crushing start. Lapland made game tight but in the end the score was 21-13 in favor of World all-stars.
Third map we picked was urban2. This map was dominated by Lapland, though it was tight at some point. I had a good flow in the game here and fragged World all-stars to the ground! ;D
Score was 16-10 for Lapland.

| Tilannekatsaus | Viime uutisesta onkin jo puolisen vuotta aikaa. Siihen mahtuu jonkin verran matseja ja aika inaktiivinen kesäkausi.
Kotimappiakin yritettiin vaihtaa, mutta mitään yksittäistä mappia ei löydetty. Tässä päädyttiin semmoiseen ratkaisuun, että pelataan vähän mielen mukaan tai sitten arvotaan jokin mappi poolista: FF, mona, u2, riot, hidden3 ja wfall.
Joulukin on jo melko likellä ja koulut pyörineet pari kuukautta, mutta aktiivisuus ei ole kesästä kovin hirmuisesti lisääntynyt. Vakituinen pelimiehistö on selvästi laiskistunut ja nyt olisikin tilaa parille aktiiviselle pelaajalle. | Hyvää uuttavuotta 2007! | CI5 toivottaa quakekansalle ja toki muillekkin onnellista uuttavuotta 2007!
Sitten katsaus menneeseen vuoteen. Vuosi 2006 tarjosi klaanille lukuisia hienoja matseja ja mittelöitä. Matseja pelattiin yli 1000 ja 4000 matsin rajapyykkikin tuli rikottua. Muutamia uusia naamoja tuli ja meni jäsenpuolella.
Tulevan vuoden selkein tavoite on tietenkin 5000 matsin rajapyykki. Noita voittoprosentteja on jo niin vaikea muuttaa suuntaa taikka toiseen, niin pitää keskittyä siihe mikä on helpompaa.
Uudenvuoden kunniaksi vanhat kaunat unohdetaan ja ainakin sillä ensimmäisellä haastokerralla haaste otetaan vastaan klaanilta kuin klaanilta. Jokainen klaani sitten omalla pelillään päättäköön sen, miten me heihin jatkossa suhtaudumme.

| 4000. matsi
| Yksi hieno rajapyykki jälleen saavutettu. Vastustajana tässä toimi Synchrony ja se pelattiin 7vs7 highlanderia, joten melkoista mättöähän se oli, kiitokset siitä.
Minun ja Killerin johdolla CI5 pelasi ensimmäisen matsinsa 1.5.2002, jotenka semmoset 4 vuotta meni tähän aikaa. Nopeasti laskien semmosta 1000 matsia per vuosi tahtia, jotenka ens joulun tienoilla olisi sitten 5000. matsin vuoro.
Member puolelle semmoinen ilmoitusasia, että tällä hetkellä ei ole uusille jäsenille paikkoja jaossa.

These dark, rainy times brought us some bad news too: a while ago, airon, our jolly internet-gay decided it was time for the legendary Quake Clan Liharykmentti to rise and shine so he left us.
As if that wasn't enough of a bummer, Drips left us too, rising above everything else straight to the championship-level, i bet you know what i'm talking about. try to avoid Apr/ Drips during nighttime aq2sessions cuz he'll just own your ass till u drop.
But as sidney said, the sun even shines on a dog's ass some days. We recruited the mighty _Ankka, also known as Menninkäinen. We also got our boy Killeri back so there's nothing to worry about. our 4000. cw is getting closer day by day so there's a hell of a milestone for us to reach. | Heinä-elo | Paljon on tapahtunut parin kuukauden aikana ja 4000. matsi lähestyy huimaavaa vauhtia. Tskj piti viikon parin loman klaanitouhuista ja Qalaxykin kävi kokeilemassa miltä maistuis pelailla taas CI5 riveissä - ei maistunu hyvälle ja hän siirtyikin Whateveriin.
Monrique sai myös tarpeekseen meidän osaamattomuudesta ja siirtyi johonkin uuteen klaaniin. Choque hajos lopullisesti (jälleen kerran) koneeseensa ja siirtyi viettämään quaken eläkepäiviä -HO´ riveihin. Ja vielä viimeisenä Graft lähti klaanista.
Klaaniin päinkin oli sentään vähän liikennettä ja saammekin jälleen nauttia BOU:n läsnäolosta.

| Killeri going abroad for a while | As the topic says, I'm going to CERN for about 6 months and going to do practical trainining and my bachelors thesis there. I should be there 18.4 and coming back not later than 30.9.
CERN is located near Geneve on the border of France and Switzerland. I'm going to live in France, somewhere near CERN.
I guess it's gonna take a while before I get Internet connection there.. but who knows. But sooner or later I'll be playing aq from there! Hope they have good connections there! :)

Membupuolellakin on tapahtunut yhtä ja toista ja etenkin hienoa on, että Qalaxy sai inttinsä loppuun ja pystyy nyt keskittymään quaken-peluuseen ;P. | February | We took apart in Survivalcup 2006 tournament. We played 4 games. We managed to win 2 and lost 2. So our 6 points wasn´t enough to qualifying games.
Choque came back after [StN] went offline and Qalaxy thought that it is better that he would be away for at least a little while. We also had aamori as a trial for a while. So, after all, we are still looking for a member or two.

| 3000. matsi! | Vastustajana tässä juhlamatsissa toimi Altavastaajat. Ensimmäinen matsi on pelattu 1.5.2002 ja tämä 3000. mittelö 19.12.2005, joten aikaa 3000. matsin rajapyykin saavuttamiseen meni 3 vuotta 7kk ja 19 päivää vielä päälle. Semmoset pari matsia per päivä tahtia ollaan pelailtu. Pitempi tarina pelistä ja shotit ja demot löytyy matsit kohdasta.

| Milestone of 2500 cw's reached! | | Today we reached the milestone in a victorious match vs [TK] which ended 35-25 in our favour. Our map ff went a bit better than we thought and we fought nice 23-4 victory from it. Then to their server to play citygate. | FOC AQ2 LAN 1-3.7 | | Long time no news, so here's something. We were at the FOC AQ2 LAN-event with a strong group. We had 10 players there: The KiLLeR, Elite John, Acihh, ewert, Bouncer, enkine, QalaxY, Epi, Tactics and FairyB. Nice time we had there! :D We played 20 matches, couple of quads and hundreds of minutes on public servers. We didn't qualify for the FOC tournament, but that wasn't the main reason to go there. | About secondary homemap | | We have been playing ff as our homemap lately. Results from the recent clanwars tell that it is very fast paced map. It also seems like we have played the map quite well which is a suprise for us, because basically we don't have anykind of tactics for the map. Sure we are going to develope some tactics for it, but first we must learn the spawns and so on before we can think about any tactics for the map. Monastery will remain as our homemap in the future, but we will increasingly play ff too. It depends on our mood and the opponent which one shall we choose. To other news then. Recently we reached the milestone of 2300 clanwars. Our mission for this year is to reach the milestone of 3000 clanwars. I guess we will reach the milestone in the autumn if our activity level stays high enough. Well.. that's about it. More news when we have something new to tell you! | Milestone of 2000 clanwars reached! | | It took longer than we thought, but now it is done! First of all I want to thank my clanmates and everyone who has played in CI5 during these years. Without you this won´t be possible. To the cw now. Our opponent was ^rkc, the funniest opponent out there. We played the cw 4vs4. Our map was monastery which we managed to win 14-7 after a bit difficult start. Sludge1 was more even, but we didn´t let them get the lead and in the end the score was 14-9 in our favour. | Milestone of 1000 victories reached!! | | Yes, it´s true! We gained that 1000. victory yesterday in a match vs [NURMO]. I thought they could give some heavy resistance, but we were on fragging mood. The match was quite onesided: we owned like hell. We gave them only one round at monastery, which we won by 26-1. Their map cloud went quite the same way, though in the end they got some rounds in a row and the map ended 23-6 in our favor. Thanks for the match [NURMO]!!
